The deal
The short version
It is free. It has no limits. We make no promise it will work perfectly on your document, and you should keep your original.
Using it
You can use it for anything, including commercial work. No signup, no licence key, no per-user count, no limit on file size, page count or how many documents. We do not watermark what you download.
Do not
- Use it to break the law.
- Upload things you have no right to.
- Try to overload or attack the service, or automate it at a scale that spoils it for others.
What we promise
Honestly, very little, and here is why: this runs in your browser on hardware we have never seen, with documents we cannot inspect. It is provided as-is. We cannot promise it will work on every PDF, that a conversion will be perfect, or that recognised text will be accurate.
Keep your original file. The product never modifies it — downloading always writes a new file — but that is a design decision, not a guarantee against every possible failure.
Things people assume, that are not true
Worth stating plainly, because each of these has caused real harm elsewhere:
- A watermark is not protection. It can be removed as easily as it was added.
- Covering text is not removing it. Only the remove-for-good tool deletes words from the file. The editor says so at the point of use, and it is repeated here.
- A PDF password can be lost. We do not keep it and cannot reset it. A PDF with a lost password is a lost document.
- A drawn signature may or may not be legally binding where you are, for what you are signing. We do not know, and we do not claim it is.
Liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for what happens to your documents or your business as a result of using a free tool — and consumer rights that cannot be excluded are not excluded. The operating entity and jurisdiction are being settled with counsel; this page gains the named clause when they land.
It might stop
It is free and run by a small operation. We may change it, limit it, or stop it. If the backend is unavailable, the parts that run in your browser carry on working — which is a large part of why the product is built that way.
